All of my contact with the Support staff has been terrific. My cataract surgery went off without a hitch and I’m extremely satisfied with the experience. I can highly recommend that you seek their consultation if you’re considering any type of eye surgery. Very highly recommended!
They were great from my first appointment through my first post-op exam. Dr Luke put me at ease before surgery and it went very well. I had cataract removal with CLR – blended vision. I am seeing remarkedly well, with more improvement to come as healing take place.
My vision was getting worse as time passed. I had developed cataracts due to oral steroids. The team explained everything in detail and followed the information with research. For the first time in years I can type this message with “No glasses or Bifocals.”

For appropriately selected patients, treating both eyes during the same surgery day can be a safe and effective option. Your doctor will carefully evaluate your eyes and overall health to determine whether a One Day package is right for you. Each eye is treated as a separate procedure with its own sterile setup and surgical supplies.
Traditional cataract surgery is an excellent option for many patients and is typically performed on separate surgery days for each eye. Patients who choose one of our One Day packages often value the convenience of treating both eyes during a single surgery day, recovering once instead of twice, and reducing the number of appointments and disruptions to their daily lives.
During your exam, your doctor will help you understand all of your options and recommend the approach that’s best for your eyes, your health, and your lifestyle.
The One Day Freedom Package is designed for patients who want the greatest possible freedom from glasses after cataract surgery. Depending on your eyes, your vision goals, and your lifestyle, your doctor may recommend premium lens technology, customized vision planning, and vision optimization to help you achieve the best possible outcome.
During your exam, we’ll discuss your goals and explain which options are available for your eyes.
Your pre-op exam is scheduled here at One Day Cataract Institute. If you choose the One Day Freedom Package after your evaluation, your post-operative care will take place at ClearSight.
That depends on the cataract package you choose.
Patients who choose the Traditional Cataract Package should generally expect to need reading glasses after surgery and may still use glasses for some activities.
Patients who choose the One Day Cataract Package should also generally expect to need reading glasses after surgery. The package includes astigmatism treatment to improve vision, but the goal is not complete freedom from glasses.
Patients who choose the One Day Freedom Package are seeking the greatest possible freedom from glasses. While no procedure can guarantee complete freedom from glasses, most Freedom Package patients are able to perform most or all of their everyday activities without glasses.
Yes. Traditional cataract surgery is typically covered by Medicare and most major insurance plans when medically necessary. Depending on your plan, you may be responsible for a deductible, copay, or coinsurance.
The One Day Cataract Package and One Day Freedom Package include optional upgrades and convenience features that are not typically covered by insurance and involve additional out-of-pocket costs.
Our team can verify your insurance benefits and provide a personalized estimate before your exam.
Many patients with cataracts are candidates for one of our One Day packages. During your comprehensive pre-op exam, your doctor will evaluate your eyes, overall health, and vision goals to determine which cataract package is the best fit for you.
If a One Day package isn’t the right choice, we’ll discuss other treatment options, including Traditional Cataract Surgery.
While the procedure itself typically takes about 15 minutes per eye, you’ll spend several hours with us on your surgery day receiving pre-operative care and medications, as well as a brief post-op recovery period. You’ll need someone to drive you home, and our team will guide you through every step of the process to help you feel comfortable and prepared.
If you’ve chosen one of our One Day packages, both eyes are treated during the same visit using separate sterile setups for each eye.
Many patients notice significant improvement in their vision within 24 hours. Your eyes will continue healing and adjusting over the following weeks.
If you’ve chosen one of our One Day packages, you’ll recover once instead of twice—making it easier to return to your normal routine with fewer appointments and less disruption to your daily life.
Many patients return to many of their normal daily activities within a day or two. Your doctor will provide specific instructions about driving, lifting, swimming, and other activities based on your individual healing.
Patients who choose a One Day package experience these temporary restrictions only once instead of repeating them for each eye.
Not every patient needs cataract surgery in both eyes. If only one eye requires treatment, or if your doctor recommends treating one eye at a time, we’ll discuss the option that’s best for your situation. Our goal is to recommend the treatment plan that’s right for your eyes, your health, and your vision goals.
You don’t need insurance to be treated at One Day Cataract Institute. We offer transparent self-pay pricing, flexible financing options, and can help you understand which cataract package is the best fit for your vision and your budget.
Our team is happy to answer your questions, explain your options, and help you explore available financing before you make any decisions.
Alphaeon offers a prequalification process that allows many patients to explore financing options without impacting their credit score. We recommend reviewing your options first and waiting to finalize any financing agreement until after your consultation confirms that you are a candidate and you have selected the treatment option that’s right for you.
Not every patient qualifies for traditional financing programs, but that doesn’t necessarily mean financing isn’t available. Depending on your situation, additional payment options may be available. In some cases, patients may be approved for a portion of the amount needed and use other payment methods for the balance. Our team can help you understand the options that may be available after you complete a financing application.
You can explore your financing options before your consultation, but financing should not be finalized until after your doctor confirms that you are a candidate and you have selected the treatment option that’s right for you.
We accept HSA and FSA funds, major credit cards, cashier’s checks, and approved financing plans.
We’re here to answer your questions, explain your options, and help you choose the cataract package that’s right for you.
